It has been great seeing so many of our customers already this year.
This year we want to start by saying hi! Cheryl, Jackie, Michelle, Lynn and our newest staff member Nicole are all here to help you with any of your sewing needs. Our experience and knowledge are here for you with whatever you may need!
So many of you have asked when we will start doing classes again, or another ruler demo and even sit and sews…. We have heard you and are planning on so many upcoming events! Make sure to check the calendar on the website as we don’t want to bombard your inbox with daily emails.
Starting Monday January 30th, Jackie will be demonstrating a ruler. This will, depending on popularity, begin a monthly thing that happens the last Monday of every month. This is free for anyone who would like to come in and watch. The demo this month will be on the Wonky Log Cabin ruler! We learned from the last demo to have more than one group session so Jackie will do the demo at 12 noon and 3pm.
Monday January 30th will also be our first sit and sew since the dreaded Covid. From 5pm until 8pm, bring your sewing, quilting, crocheting, knitting, hand embroidery or just yourself and a friend for a few hours out of the house with us. We are limited in space, but we will have a couple sewing machines for use, ironing station, cutting table. Charge will be $5.00 per person, please make your reservations with the store (519-776-1100) Jackie will be doing the ruler demo again at 6pm just for the sit and sew group.
The first Wednesday of every month will become Senior’s Day with 15% off fabric purchases for any senior.
February also brings us a birthday celebration! Cheryl’s birthday is on February 1st and she is turning 39 again! So in honor of her we will be having a 39% off day. Come in wish her a happy birthday, save some money and enjoy a piece of cake or a little treat with her. Who knows what other surprises we may have in store that day?!?
We are also going to begin our Newsletter again. We have set up a new email address just for this purpose! We would love your feedback, questions you may have or any tips and tricks that you could pass on to newer quilters. We also want you to start sending in pictures of your completed projects. We help so many of you, but never get to see the final masterpiece! Who knows maybe we will start adding the names of those to submit pictures or questions and comments for a draw each month….
The new email address for these purposes is

I know that this has been a long email, however we wanted to give anyone who would like to participate in the sit and sew to get a spot reserved now and to let you all hear the upcoming stuff in store at the Sewing Shoppe!
